Is god out there?

Okay, so I have been feeling a little bummed out since I was told on July 2nd that Publix had put a hiring freeze on. Yeah, after a whole month of waiting and trying to hurry them up on getting my application through, that was the news I received. So needless to say, the enemy thought he would get in my life and bring me down. Satan loves to see your hopes up and seemingly smash them. I felt like I was punched in the gut. I couldn't control the tears once I made it to the truck. But, even when life seems to be sucking, God somehow surprises you.
The first thing that let me know that he was still with me was a good one. George's Jeep has been run down because of a waterpump and radiator. Now the waterpump, no big deal. It may have cost 40 bucks, but the radiator was the killer. It probably would have cost us at least $200. Now, that sucks when you have very little savings and it needs to go into a vehicle. I mean we have a savings for a little cushion until I get a job. So I was quite ticked to hear the price of the work needed. Well, George happened to be talking to someone at his work who also owns Jeep vehicles. George noticed he had a different one and asked him if he sold the other. Then George was asking him about tips on repairing ours. The guy told George that he just so happened to have an almost new radiator just sitting in his garage. He didn't know why he was holding on to it and offered it to George. My hubby tried to offer some money but the guy wouldn't hear of it. It had been sitting in his garage anyways. WOW! This happened the day that I heard the news from Publix. So needless to say, God showed me he was still here and that he will take care of us! Even if it's in a way you don't expect. But what a blessing! That took me from such a rotten mood into a hopeful and thankful state of mind. God knows what he's doing. He uses all things for his good.
So, I went into bed and felt the urge to just start reading the Word. I for some reason was drawn to Romans. I have never read it and felt I should dive in. It captivated me. I didn't want to put it down. It gave me such hope and revelation. Romans 5:3-5 Stood out to me. It says this. But that's not all! We gladly suffer, because we know that suffering helps us to endure. And endurance builds character, which gives us hope that will never disappoint us. All of this happens because God has given us the Holy Spirit, who fills our hears with his love. So I underlined this verse. And wouldn't you know that one of my birthday cards from a good friend, Sarah, had the same verse written down. She felt I needed to hear it. Another WOW for me.It continues in Romans 8:24 by saying And this hope is what saves us. But if we already have what we hope for, there is no need to keep on hoping. Romans 8: 31 says What can we say about all this? If God is on our side, can anyone be against us? God is talking to me more and more clearly. I read all of Romans and some of 1 Corinthians and it just spoke to me so much. I was able to have revelation on things going on in other people's lives that they had shared with me. I had an encouraging word for Candy, another for my friend Leandra and some for Rodney! I always ask God to speak to me and he really was through his Word. He was hitting me left and right with clear understanding on issues I had talked about with these people. As well as with what was going on in my own life. Praise God!! He is faithful even when we sometimes wonder where he is when all this seemingly crappy stuff starts happening in our lives. Romans 8:28 We know that God is always at work for the good of everyone who loves him. They are the ones God has chosen for his purpose.
To end this I must share that my Birthday and the 4th of July were great days for me as well. I stepped back and looked at how the enemy is trying to get a hold of me through my finances. But I have faith that God will see me through these times. I got home last night and realized how much God has blessed my life. And not through things that can be bought. I have a great family and true friends. God has put into my life all the love I could ask for. I have such a good support system. I have people encouraging me and praying for me. Thank God, because I can stumble easily and this support will keep me on the straight and narrow path. I pray that everyone I love will feel his blessing in their life. And the great thing about God is even though some may feel like they are not acceptable to God and don't deserve his love and mercy, Romans 3:22 tells us God treats everyone alike. He accepts people only because they have faith in Jesus Christ. All of us have sinned and fallen short of God's glory. I can't say how many times I have wondered if God would take me back. But God knows our heart. All we need is to believe in Him. I now know that when we backslide he's still there. No matter what he's there. It's when you do come to him and truly repent, that he will change your heart. You won't want to do all those things anymore. Being a Christian used to make me think my life would be boring. But not at all. Just the opposite. I have never been so truly happy. It's awesome when he takes over your life. You change in ways you never thought you could. Sometimes it happens and you didn't even notice it was happening. But thank God you are freed from it. I am excited to see what else God has in store for me!
